In July 2025, Impact Dance Global presented its first international guest production, the award winning Esther’s Revenge by the Nigerian theatre company PawStudios Africa.

A year later, Esther’s Revenge, is back.

A thought provoking, interactive theatrical experience in which Esther has been charged with the murder of her white lover. The audience are invited to become the jurors who will determine her sentence. Esther’s Revenge is based on the true story which occurred in 1950s Nigeria, and delves into themes of colonisation and societal injustices.

Esther's Revenge is a recipient of the Brighton Fringe International Award and had a 3 weeks long residency at the off-broadway Soho Playhouse New York in 2024. It has showcased over 80 times across South Africa, Nigeria, the UK and off-broadway in the U.S. With amazing reviews.

This is a rare opportunity for you to attend a presentation from one of Nigeria’s most acclaimed contemporary theatre directors, Kenneth Uphopho, who founded the Lagos and Abuja Fringes after having successfully established the internationally renowned Lagos Theatre Festival in 2013. Esther is performed by Award winning actor Bola Stephen-Atitebi.
